what my mother told me

quoting a movie, my mother really made sense to me. there's always that cliched analogy about life and that its like a roller coaster with all of its ups and downs. but unlike life, on that real roller coaster, i prefer the downs so much more to the ups.  the impending shuttle up to the unseen top is always a thrill, but the downward spiral into a just discovered new scene is always more electrifying. and maybe sometimes i need to remember that i really do like the downs more than the ups and to just let go and enjoy them.

that mom of mine is a smart woman. and i love her very much.
