blessed day

my small college town gets so cold it, the power can't even handle it. its the best thing in the world to wake up all groggy and confused and find four mass texts from your college that say classes have been postponed until 12:45, which is precisely when I am done for the day. thank you retched -12 degree weather for gracing us with your presence and giving me the entire day off. i truly appreciate it, and all of the 54 snowflakes i made for a ward party. what else is there to do when the power is out?

oh, um, hey. long time no see.

so, yes, its true. i have neglected this blog, because hey-i'm at school and i'll be darned if i don't do my homework and have a productive social life. and to be honest, both of those things have kept me mighty busy. so my guilt for not having blogged coupled with my complete lack of motivation (i blame the red devil) has made me decide to catch you up on my life via snapchats that have been saved to my phone, and the promise of a real blog post tomorrow. enjoy.

its an intense thing to do in the dark at 1 in the morning

that was a rough day.

i send funny snapchats in the morning

we like friends

yep. i went the whole month without soda. boo ya!

for all those complaining about the cold

yesterday it was so cold in small college town that the power went out for the whole town and tens of miles to before it. yesterday it was so cold that the college sent out mass texts postponing classes and telling students to seek refuge in the main building on campus. yesterday it was so cold that the snot inside my nose froze as soon as i walked out the door and into the -15 degree weather. yesterday was so cold that it probably could have been called national screenshot the weather forecast day because of all the pictures i saw on various social networking sites about the freezing air.

so yesterday was cold. in case you didn't catch that.

things i'm thinking right now

this whole -10 degree weather has really changed me. i mean, today felt like a warm spring day and it was only 31. yikes.

ya know i was never really a fan of the cute guy that turns into a bratty know-it-all. its like, no one's REALLY that confident.

there's only so many times i can get on pinterest and look at the same pins without getting bored.

i really shouldn't have pizza for dinner at 10 o'clock at night, and even worse, i really shouldn't enjoy it as much as i did. really i'm just bummed that my roommates felt sick after cause i really enjoyed it.

having a pepsi at 10 o'clock however, was NOT a smart idea. although it was my last resort to get rid of the headache that plagued my head and clearly worked, it probably is not going to help me get to bed.

dang i miss those little twin brothers of mine. especially when i only have a day or two left to spend with them, because thats when they want to spend time with me the most.

thanks for all the instagrams

all i can say is that utah stole all my dang snow.
and i'm pretty bitter about it.
that 12 inches you all got last night?
well it was due for my small college town
and i was looking forward to it so so much.

these things happened today

1. it was 20 something degrees and wintery today.
here we come abysmal winter.

2. calls for romney. all day.
and this 'non-partisan' group even pays a good sum of money.
#romneyalreadygivesjobs

3. can we just talk about pitch perfect?
and how much i loved it?

and thats really all that happened that was worth of note today.
ta ta.

spotted:

j and el rolling into small college town for another round of school. don't let this suburban fool you, these girls come with class. they may be cutting it short, but doesn't everyone know-its always fashionable to arrive late.

cuffing under pressure

*i am about to share an inside story that may or may not be relevant to you.*
our school has a dress code, and that dress code includes no flip-flops, beards, capris or sweats.
there are posters around campus that have catchy sayings about certain dress code violations,
followed by a harsh "know the code!"
a favorite past time, jace and i point out the occasional dress code violations on campus with a harsh
"know the code!"

today, we broke the code.
well, not really.
we cuffed our pants and went to the park.
it was a lovely time.
i only wished that this small college town had more swings.

with less than a week left, you may think that i would be cuffing under the pressure of school.
but i'm oddly calm. maybe its because i only have two tests that aren't even finals,
but i think its a blessing amongst all the chaos.
thank heavens. i'm ready for the summer.

shooting for seven

you know when you go six days in a row without having to wear a coat in small college town, that its been a good six days. its been uncommonly warm, and while i should maybe be worried about the ozone layer disappearing or the possibility of a drought, i'm going to keep on crossing my fingers and hoping it stays this warm.

adventure

jace and i went out to shoot some pictures for her blog today and we found the coolest place.
we always find the most random, but awesome places to shoot.
who knew small college town had so much to offer with so small a radius?
today was messy and muddy.
completely perfect for my favorite rainboots.

my lovely jace.

have a wonderful weekend. i'll be spending mine addicted to photoshop.

now you do.

Dec 11, 2011

dear reader,

i'm sorry i've vanished from the blogging world. it is finals week. hence the hibernation. and while i have heard more than 5 girls say something to this effect and laughed, after the memorizing, not enough sleep, too much studying-induced coma, maybe i agree.

not really. thats just my sarcasm for the day. or the week.
until finals are over,

why did the hipster burn his mouth?

because he ate the soup before it was cool. brother noah told me that one. and though i should be offended, i thought it was hysterical. i laugh at myself often.

the best place to get good hipster music AND good food here in little college town is sammy's.  it is soooooo great.

mustache mondays. here at sammys, if you wear a mustache, you get a grilled cheese for 75 cents! yay for us poor college students who just want to have some cheap fun and listen to good music at the same time.

oh and its fun to put the mustaches on the back of your phone once you're done letting them itch up your face.  sometimes it looks like a person.

(look carefully-its on there!)
