i normally don't get too pushy with my beliefs or religion because I think that just as I am entitled to my own beliefs and opinions, so is everyone else. but this is what i believe today and always.

Things I learned over the weekend
If you put a sign on your door that says "Let them eat cake" for your cake party, random people that nobody in your apartment knows will come in and take two pieces each,
and mess up your magnet sentences on the fridge before they bounce. But you'll also have
and mess up your magnet sentences on the fridge before they bounce. But you'll also have
a good time with all your friends that come over too.
There's also a major difference between preemie boys and post boys,
like their ways of wooing certain girls. And its just funny.
Especially when they're the same age as your brother.
The movie LOL is definitely one of those movies that has no actual plot or storyline,
so watching it just because you don't really have an attachment to watching anything else
is pretty much the only way to watch it and not think Miley was the most horrible person on earth.
It also is a lot more fun when you watch it with all your favorite people,
and by that, I mean my roommates. And when I talk about my roommates,
they're that set of roommates that will be the ones I'll talk about and still talk,
and I like knowing that about us.

hi, my name is elsa and my body is older than i am. and i'm a little bit of a hypochondriac
because no 21 year old should feel like they have whiplash from "whipping my hair back and forth" at a hart dance on a saturday night. granted, the title of the song does convey what actually happened, but at this age, i'd like to think that my body would be a little bit better at bouncing back from a few hours of embarrassing and PG rated dancing. but i guess it seems like more of a joke to add to the pile once i realize that i also have hands that have just as many wrinkles as your grandma or maybe even an elephant's trunk and my back has repeatedly made me feel like an old woman. and my admittance that i may be a bit of a hypochondriac (i promise that only translates to actual sicknesses like the flu and common colds) probably doesn't help me seem like the old lady i complain to be, but i also promise to you that this joke of a girl has some serious (or maybe just bothersome) problems with her body.
oh well.....YOLO right?

noteworthy happenings
i've been a bit preoccupied lately, and whether its the insanely awesome friends i have or the fact that i'm simply just bored with my blog (yeah, thats a problem i've been having lately), i figured i should at least give an update on some of the more little and odd, but noteworthy things that have occurred as of late.
i finished watching my very first season of the bachelor. did you all see that i'm going to be the next bachelorette too? thats going to be awesome, right?
my back is a field of knots that seem to not want to leave. consequently, the icy hot cream i bought to bring me a little bit of relief caused more of a confusion (and show) when i accidentally got the remnants all over my left eyelid. so that was a weird feeling.
i'm going on a trip this summer, and quite a big one.
jace made a fort. underneath her closet. there's lights in there. we watch revenge sometimes when we're in there. its pretty cool.
i overhead a weird conversation about a lady's dog Tulip getting its haircut tomorrow. it was all in a very small town that had a great wall that we took pictures at today. that was an adventure.

my mothers daughter
dear mother,
you have indeed gotten the daughter you always wanted. when you said, "i really only ever asked for one daughter and i wanted her to be like me", i don't think you knew exactly how much i'd be like you. did you know that i would obsessively clean my room when i'm stressed and need to put something off? did you know that your hate for confrontation and saying no would pass on to me and cause me to freak out whenever noah asked if we could eat out an extra night just like you used to? was your compulsivity while wearing itchy clothes or shirts that need constant adjustment just a funny coincidence that i picked up on? maybe the way i shake out my shirts before i wear them is something i picked up from watching you, but did you know that the little habits of taking a sip between every bite of food would be instilled in my habits too? even if you did, i love you for it and i love that you have encoded me for obsessively watching TV series with you and craving a late night snack of popcorn and peanut M&Ms. because every day i think to myself, 'i'm just like my mother'. and there's no one else i'd like to be like.
remember when you had long hair too?
hopefully you saw this as more of an joyful ode than a reveal of habits :)

i was lazy. hear me roar.
its true. this last week ranked low on the scale of productivity and to be quite frank and unpoetic, it sucked. you could tell that the whole doing nothing with my spare time and feeling like that fat gross monster in star wars was a drain because i managed to put off a digital photography project that has irked me with its terrible theme that i can nowhere near begin to understand. and while i have spent the last 4 hours doing everything i absolutely could to avoid and push off said project, once i buckled down i found something out. i found that, despite my tendencies to prefer sleep to class and catching up on the bachelor to my elliptical routine at the gym, i really miss being productive. and i really like being busy with the chores and routines of life. so here's to a week of being as productive as i can (and practicing much better ways to conclude my blog posts. because i use this one way to much)!
