a day in venice

my first day was Venice. 

my parents and brothers had already been in italy for a week,

and i was lucky to spend some more time in the wonderful Italia.

spending the day crusading through the water and the buildings surrounding it,

and then hopping off onto solid ground was so different. 

it was crazy to think that while i was standing on solid ground, it was standing in water.

it was a fun city and i loved the italian people as always. 

favorite food: spaghetti bolognese

best gelato of the day: dark chocolate with stracciatella.

favorite spot: St. Marco's church 

miracle of the day: successfully navigating the boat ways of venice

and actually making it through the day only falling asleep twice

 (first days in europe are tough on jetlag)
